Our Story

MrGameShow was founded by me, Andy Geremia, in late 2020 as a side hustle. My wife Tracey has been a huge support and is a great assistant! In 2025 we did over 120 events and grossed over $50K. This was done part-time, we both still have day jobs. We’ve grown the business by 25% a year with no advertising or social media. Most of our business comes from repeat clients. New clients come by word of mouth and Google searches.

I think about games a lot! I design board games as a hobby and have licensed game concepts to toy companies (see them on our website). During Covid I designed ‘game shows’ that could be played outdoors. Some of these games flopped, but the ones we host today are all crowd pleasers. The games have been tested and fine-tuned for over 5 years and maximized for fun and enjoyment.

As a former corporate trainer with experience creating and delivering engaging materials, I’ve packaged up our games for entrepreneurs to deliver in their cites and build a successful game show business.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is MrGameShow a franchise?

No, MrGameShow uses a membership model to significantly reduce startup costs. This ‘Zumba’ type model was recommended to me by Guy Raz on the How I Built This podcast (Advice Line episode with Curt Richardson of Otterbox, 07-16-26). This makes your game show business an affordable one to start and there are no royalties paid on what you earn.

How much gear is needed?

We’ve designed everything for a 20 minute setup. Everything fits onto one collapsible cart to efficiently get in and out of venues. No computer required for the games, just a tablet/phone to play music from. The heaviest item is the speaker. We provide a list of recommended equipment.

How much can I earn and how profitable is the business?

Based upon your clientele, event rates would be in $150-$500+ range. Your location and how far you’re willing to travel will impact the number of events you book.

Below is a summary of our part-time MrGameShow business in Sarasota, Florida. All our business has been earned through cold calling, cold emails, and word of mouth. The majority of our business today is repeat business.

MrGameShow Florida Business Summary:

  • $20K in 2021, first full year (76 events, 1-2 events per week, $263 per event)

  • $50k in 2025 (129 events, 2-3 events per week, $388 per event).

  • 25% growth each year.

  • 90+% profit margin (very low expenses, no rent or inventory)

How do I schedule and invoice events?

‍Clients book directly with you. You invoice and collect payments. It’s your business; you manage it completely. (We use Google Calendar for reservations and PayPal for invoicing.)

How long does a game show last?

All our games are designed to be a fun-filled 90 minutes.

Is there an app for the games?

No. We’ve tried apps and technology but find that old school paper and pencil cause the least headaches and is the most enjoyable for players.

How much training is provided?

We want you to be successful! Our playbook walks you through setting up your business, how to get business, and best practices. The game show content contains a script and step by step instructions. You also get dedicated one-on-one time with me. During your first month, 2 hours of virtual calls per week are available for training and consulting. Each month after that you may schedule a 30 minute call. Getting a few events under your belt is the best way to get comfortable with the materials. We recommend playing all games at least once with family and friends.

What makes a good host?

The main driver to success is being reliable and having a positive attitude. We have the tools, training, and support to help you with the rest.

Being outgoing does help but it’s not that important. People aren’t disappointed with the wedding DJ because they weren’t entertaining enough – it’s due to the music selection and pacing of the night. Our game shows have a great flow and are designed to be engaging. You simply need to guide the ship and smile!

I already have an business, can I offer your game shows under my brand?

Yes! You may use MrGameShow licensed content to provide game shows options for your clients. If you do not yet have a business, you would start a new business under your branding and provide MrGameShow licensed content to your clients.

Why don’t you offer trivia?

We love trivia! There are many places that offer trivia, but how many offer game shows? Our games allow you to differentiate yourself from the many trivia providers. Pop Culture Mashup and Sort That Tune are trivia type games so if your client wants a trivia game you can offer those games. Our games are much more conversational than traditional trivia and appeal to a wider audience.

What makes MrGameShow games unique?

Our games have been designed for everyone to play simultaneously (from 20-200 people). This makes it more enjoyable for everyone since there is no waiting around for your turn.

The games have been tested and fine-tuned for over 5 years and packed full of fun with simple rules and easy to play with just paper and pencil. The conversations and celebrations that take place during the game are what people remember most about the night, not what place they came in. Our games bring the fun!
